Our Center is experiencing low staffing levels at this time and encourages the citizens of Grays Harbor County to only contact 911 for EMERGENCIES.
When the Center is experiencing a high number of EMERGENCY calls you may receive a message on our non-emergency lines asking you to contact your local Public Safety Agency, City or County Departments. (See our GHCC Public Safety Agencies or Resources pages for contact information links.)

If you have an EMERGENCY (Medical, Fire and/or Crime) to report that is IN PROGRESS, CALL 911 RIGHT AWAY or TEXT IF UNABLE TO CALL. Otherwise, if you would like to report a crime that occurred in the past, call the police/sheriff for your city/county.
When You Call:
Stay calm.
Take a deep breath.
Speak clearly.
State the problem you are reporting.
Listen carefully to the questions asked and instructions given.
Be prepared to answer the following:
o Location of the problem – full address and nearest cross streets.
o Your name.
o Phone number you are calling from.
Let the 911 dispatcher control the conversation and answer all questions.
These questions do not delay the emergency response; it gives the emergency responder pertinent information they need before arriving on scene.
If you accidentally call 911 please stay on the line to confirm that there is no emergency, otherwise you will receive a call from 911. If there is no response to the return call police will be sent to check on you.
GHCC 911 is the Public Safety Answering Point for all of Grays Harbor County, Washington.

For the health and safety of the community and our staff; the Communications Center is closed to the public until further notice, dependent on the COVID-19 situation and status.
911 services remain open 24/7. Public records requests remain available via online.
